There is often a golden time of day when the carp finally decide it’s time to get their heads down and feed. Those same fish that have been lazily milling around in the middle of the lake all day can suddenly decide enough is enough and it’s time for tea. Once one or two of carp start feeding with confidence it often triggers the rest to follow for fear of missing out. Like flicking a switch, a quiet lake is now a fish-catching frenzy. Suddenly everyone on the lake is catching quality fish short and down the edge. It’s carp o’clock!
