I love fishing new venues, especially ones like the lake we’re at today, Lakeside Leisure near Skegness in Lincolnshire. It’s not regularly match fished and it’s probably more of a specimen type water than a match lake. This means that I don’t have a lot to go on regarding the stocking other than chatting to a good friend Gary Dennis. He’s assured me that the lake is full of roach so with the temperature and conditions taken into account they seem an ideal species to target. With the Transporter loaded I head over to the far side of the lake where a small area has escaped last nights big freeze.
